The National Student Commonwealth Forum (NSCF) is a national conference for high school students.
Held annually in May for the past 44 years, NSCF brings together approximately 100 Canadian high school students for a week in Ottawa. These young leaders of tomorrow will build leadership skills, while discussing and learning about international affairs and the role of the Commonwealth today.
Delegates will get the opportunity to meet with High Commissioners from various Commonwealth countries & participate in debates in the Senate and in a model Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting. They will get to explore the city of Ottawa, visit museums and speak with the city’s movers and shakers.
The program is sponsored by Heritage Canada, the Royal Commonwealth Society of Canada and grants/ bursaries for the program are provided by provincial RCS Branches.
This year’s theme is Immigration, Migration and Refugee Issues. Participants will create their own resolutions to be debated and discussed throughout the week.
