NDPs wants Ottawa to address Marathon request to up emissions

"Federal politicians representing west Windsor and LaSalle are now speaking up about the Marathon's request to increase emissions at its refinery in Detroit.
The oil company wants permission from the state of Michigan to increase emissions from its Detroit operation.
LaSalle town council voted unanimously this week to ask Canada's environment minister to get involved.
Now, NDP MPs Brian Masse and Tracey Ramsey have also written to Environment Minister Catherine McKenna, in support of the town."
