What the Liberals' broken promise will cost small businesses
May 30th, 2016 - 3:44pm
The Liberals have broken their promise to cut the small business tax rate, costing small businesses $2.2 billion.
In 2015, New Democrats successfully pressured the government to lower small business taxes from 11% to 9% by 2021. During the election, all parties promised to honour these reductions.
But the Liberals have quietly broken their promise – and it will cost small businesses in Canada $2.2 billion over the next few years.
Our NDP team is fighting to restore those tax breaks. Follow the link below to our Broken Promise Invoice e-petition and help us deliver a strong message to the government to support small businesses.
